The drone diminishes to almost nothing, with other electronic textures staying ambient. Then it intensifies again as the pitch lowers. This has a more spacial feel to it with the echoing effects. You can hear an organ playing sustained notes with a slowly oscillating volume like you can hear it in the distance being carried by the breeze.
It becomes quite ambient towards the end with some beautiful sounds and textures. You get quite an eclectic collection of outtakes and alternative version in this set of tracks. Most of the album is acoustic and folk. But you get electronic treatments and experimentation too.
Overall, it is quite pastoral and peaceful, but there are many unsettling moments in there also. I really enjoy the variation among the tracks, and the acoustic parts have enough change among the instruments, that it seldom becomes boring. Even though this is a hodgepodge of tracks, it actually feels like it all belongs together.
It is defiantly better than 3 star material, though some may think the drones last too long, but if you really listen, there are a lot of layers and movement there. It's also a good mix of flavors from these artists, especially Current I have no problem kicking this up to a 4 star rating.
However, this mostly acoustic album is full of surprises and guest vocalists. The first interesting thing that distinguishes this album from the many other Current 93 albums is the appearance of the Charles Wesley poem "Idumea" not just once, but 8 different and distinct times through the 21 tracks on this album.
Each version of the poem is sung by different singers and each version is completely different from the other. The use of these various artists breath life and variety into the overall album, and, interestingly enough, the use and re-use of this poem never gets tiring. In fact they help break up the crazed vocals of Tibet.
As far as the other tracks on the album, most are sung by Tibet. Tibet's vocals are very clear this time around, which is not always the case on other albums. Most of these tracks are mellow and acoustic, but some are quite intense as Tibet's lyrics and vocals become more frantic at times.
You get quite a variety of beautiful and also scathing tracks. Interspersed among these tracks are the different versions of "Idumea" but also other tracks that are sung by other artists. Most of the tracks are short, usually around the 3?
This one is not listed as such, but is actually a 2 part track, the first half being Tibet in his most frantic voice which turns quite chaotic before it goes into the second part being a minimal section with the soft vocals of Cosey Fanni Tutti.
Since most of the tracks are acoustic, having the guest vocalists contribute to variety and dynamic of the album. Streams Videos All Posts. Formed in London, England. Group Members David Tibet. Wei WuXian held the hen in one hand and caught it with his other. He took it back and looked.
It was a big, round jujube, still half-green. In fact, he used to love such activities when he was young. He always did them with a large gang, making up a big ruckus every time.
Lan WangJi was obviously the mastermind here. Back at Lotus Pier, he took Lan WangJi to see where he grew up in Yunmeng and told him a lot of interesting stories that happened when he was young. Could it be that Lan WangJi bore them in mind after he heard them and wanted to experience them as well deep down? The GusuLan Sect was extremely disciplining. Lan WangJi was locked up in his room to read and write ever since he was young. On the jujube tree, Lan WangJi struck like a tornado. Just a while later, and all of the jujubes on the tree had been completely picked off.
Staring at all these round jujubes, Wei WuXian was at a complete loss as to what to say. Well done! Remember to comment on our chapters or leave a review and rating on Novel Updates, it encourages us! This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how your comment data is processed.

All The Smoke.Current 93 hit the mark from the off with Nature Unveiled, easily the strongest of the group's early industrial-tinged era. The album gets compared to Nurse With Wound, and although Stapleton's presence is obvious in the production choices, the sounds .
